The highest flowing Nissan ZD30 turbo inlet elbow on the market. Unlike fabricated components, there are no limits as to what can be designed and accounted for when producing quality cast products.

   

Our custom designed, cast metal turbocharger air inlet elbow will suit ZD30 Di and CRD 2001 to 2016 fitted with the Garrett GT2052V turbocharger and OEM/Factory alternators. Please note: aftermarket alternators can have clearance issues.

   

Ideally suited to the larger upgraded turbochargers with machined or ported compressor housings, this ZD30 turbocharger inlet elbow will fit a completely standard turbocharger and still provide a large increase in airflow to the compressor. The path of the airflow directly before the compressor wheel is the most critical in a turbocharged application.

     

High-flow 3-inch means less restriction

The outlet diameter at the compressor flange is 60mm, 28% larger than the factory turbo inlet size of 47mm.

   

Large diameter bends with the longest possible radius is the best way to ensure optimal airflow entering the turbo compressor housing.

    

We recommend 3″ intake pipework be used with this product to achieve peak flow and efficiency.

Why use a larger turbo intake elbow on a Nissan ZD30 engine?

Restriction on the air intake side of a turbocharger can cause premature failure of the thrust bearing. As the compressor tries to suck as much air into the turbo as possible it creates a load that is attempting to pull the compressor toward the compressor housing.

   

Having sufficient turbo intake sizing pre-turbo not only provides a performance benefit but also increases turbo longevity, especially in higher boost applications.

   

For this reason, we recommended that the intake pipework, airbox, and snorkel are well matched to this turbocharger air intake upgrade on applications that will be running higher boost pressure and power levels over a relatively stock vehicle.

   

Upgrade your exhaust manifold studs at the same time!

If you are purchasing this upgrade while the turbocharger and exhaust manifold are off the vehicle, the use of our Inconel 625 exhaust manifold studs will prevent the exhaust manifold from warping at a later day. This is an issue that is extremely common with the Nissan ZD30 platform.

    

We supply our custom cast metal ZD30 turbo inlets with stainless cap screw bolts and a gasket.
